Turmeric

The Turmeric root is the dried rhizome of Curcuma longa. 
 
Traditionally used in curries, and nurmerous food throughout Africa, Asia, and Europe.
 
Aside from cooking, Turmeric is growing in popularity due to its health benefit claims, such as;
being said to help with inflamation, possibly aiding in weight loss, and possibly working as an antioxidant.
